I founded the organization to help existing public service & nonprofit providers maintain or expand educational/therapeutic art & music programming to help kids and adults dealing with chronic homelessness, abuse and mental health issues.
We’re a group of artists, crafts workers, students, educators, business professionals and just friends and neighbors who believe a community is enriched when all of its members, regardless of age, ability, income or life situation have access to any creative process that provides educational and/or therapeutic value for them, and we have the commitment to work for that vision.
I began work on the project March 2015. In December 2015 we were accepted as a 501(c)3 charity and were able to provide funding and/or art programming for six nonprofit or public organizations in two states. We have three more organizations for whom we’ve scheduled, or are planning, programming. Every organization with whom we’ve worked provides educational or therapeutic assistance to the members of its community in need, and none of this would have been possible without the wonderful group of talented, caring artists who believe we can, and who go above and beyond to deliver.
